New Look and a New SAL

I decided to change the look of my blog as I wanted to add a picture to my header. The pink template didn't go with it so I've opted for a simple white one. The picture is of one of my favourite places, the village of Thwaite in Swaledale, North Yorkshire. It's where Keith and I have been renting a cottage for our holidays since 2005 and where we'll be going in just under two weeks time. Also while we're up there we'll be celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary! I can't believe it's been thirty years, they have been very happy ones!

Starting on 15th October, Karen, myself and a few other bloggers have decided to do a Celtic Lady SAL every Monday. I think the others are all stitching Celtic Autumn, but I am stitching Celtic Christmas, in the alternative colours. Karen has kindly set up a separate blog for this, thanks for doing that Karen! If anyone would like to join us you would be very welcome. You will need to get in touch with Karen for an invite in order to be able to post to the Celtic Lady blog.

Stitching-wise I don't have much to show you apart from the baby biscornu (shown below) that I made a while back for the birthday exchange on A Crafty Natter BB. The chart is a free one from My Aunts Attic and I stitched it with WDW Cyclamen thread on 28ct pale lilac Brittney fabric. I didn't do any stitching while I was away visiting my parents and MIL the week before last, but last week I did some secret stitching, one piece is a Christmas present for someone who reads my blog. The other piece, that I started last Friday, is for the Autumn competion on A Crafty Natter BB, so I'm afraid that I can't show pictures of either of those yet.

Love the header photo. I like visiting that area too.

That's a pretty biscornu :o)

I will work on getting the CL blog something like before we start on 15th Oct. I think one of the others might possibly be designing something so I'm just holding off for a few days to see.
