Rose and Daffodils

Sorry to have been missing for a short while. I've been busy with spring cleaning and then my parents have been here for a few days on their way to Scotland to visit my aunt and uncle. They return here again on Friday, just for the weekend, on their way home again. I am starting to catch up with reading blogs and leaving comments again, it's amazing how it mounts up in just a few short days! Anyway I do have a couple of small finishes to show you. The first one is CCN/CC's Rose Cottage, the first of three in a vertical row that I'm stitching. I've now moved on to the Violet Cottage but don't have a photo of that yet. I think I'll wait until it's finished.

This next picture is of Daffodils from Prairie Schooler's Prairie Garden. You may remember that I changed the threads for this to DMC's Colour Variations to give it a bit of interest. I'm quite pleased with the result and will at some time be making this up into a pin keep for myself.

I've had a couple of questions about the hardanger mat that I sometimes use to photograph small items on. I didn't stitch it, it was designed and stitched for me by my good friend Colette of Col's Creations for Christmas 2005. Colette has now released the chart on her website and it's called "Tulips and Lace". Do go and have a look as there are lots of other lovely designs by Colette for sale there.

Thanks so much for all your lovely comments about the biscornu that I stitched for Mylene in the HoE biscornu exchange. I'm still waiting for mine to arrive, but I think it should be here soon.

Hi Nicola,
Thank you for your visit to my blog, and thank you so much for a lovely comment.
This hardangar mat is absolutely beautiful!
I do hardangar, too, so immediately went to her site and saw through her works!
There were plenty of stunning works!
I will absolutely order some stuffs from her site, when I wanted to try hardangar, again!
By the way, your Roses is very lovely! I love this series, too!

Love Rose Cottage & your daffodils, both so pretty. Sorry but I daren't visit Col's site yet: it could get too expensive & I'd end up with too much month left at the end of the money! LOL
