Exchanges Sent and Received

I recently took part in two exchanges with the Hooked on Exchanging group. The first one was a needleroll exchange, and you saw in my last post the needleroll that I stitched for Marion, now here's the needleroll that Gwen sent to me. She must have studied my blog really well as she knew that I'm planning on stitching the Victoria Sampler December needleroll and has therefore stitched me a companion one based on that design. She also included some lovely extra's.

Next is the lovely Prairies Schooler exchange that arrived here from Sally this morning. She has sent me a really lovely pinkeep. I just love this design, which unfortunately I think must be discontinued as I've tried looking for it before. It is beautifully stitched over one, and is finished with a pocket on the back. Sally also included all these extras, the Halloween cards top left are made by Sally too.

Lastly, this is the PS exchange that I sent to Chris. There is a much better photo over on Chris's blog.

I've really enjoyed taking part in these, and a couple of other exchanges but now it's time to concentrate on my own stitching for a while. I have loads of kits and charts that I really need to stitch as there is a lot of money tied up in them all. I also want to enter a piece of cross stitch into our village show next September and have a kit in my stash for that. With all this in mind I have joined the Let's Stitch blog that Becky has set up for the purpose of encouraging stitchers to reduce their stash, and get those WIP's/UFO's finished. To start my stash reduction off I've kitted up LHN's Acorn Hill as my holiday stitch for the week after next when I'm up in the Yorkshire Dales for a week. It's a chart that I've had for nearly a year now and it's a nice easy, relaxing stitch for a holiday.

I do have some WIP photos to show you, but I'll leave that for another time as this post is long enough as it is.

Thanks so much for all your comments on my last post.

Nicola

Looking forward to a return visit this evening!

I am in your Let's Stitch group (and am a recent return to the love of cross-stitch after a several year absence).

Love the exchange! I am like you and need to stitch for myself for awhile. Swaps are fun but they don't get my growing stash stitched up! LOL

So glad you joined Becky's new blog, too! I have enjoyed it so much and it has really given me a boost to get busy and stitch!
