Ornament Finish

Yesterday afternoon I finished off last weeks ornament challenge on the Let's Stitch blog. It's Prairie Schooler's Snowy Night from this years JCS Ornament issue. I stitched it on 32ct Ivory Jobelan using the recommended DMC threads, except that I added some Kreinik Balger blending filament 032 to the white. I really enjoyed this challenge as it has spurred me on to stitch some more ornaments. My new PS Santa's and Snowmen chart arrived this morning and I'll be taking it with me to stitch from when I go away on Saturday for the week to visit my parents and MIL.

This is lovely. I add blending filament sometimes to snowy pictures - it really sets it off!

That is so pretty - I have seen that chart and now I think I need to stitch it up. I really like the addition of blending filament. I hear you about the some of the PS charts being OOP - I have been fighting like a mad-man on eBay collecting up the ones I didn't have. Some of them are quite pricey and hard to aquire!! Oh well, I could have a worse addiction! :)
