Happy New Year

I know it's a wee bit late, but I'd like to wish everyone a very happy and healthy 2009.

I have a couple of lovely presents that I'd like to show you. The first one is a beautiful lap quilt that my lovely friend Colette made for my birthday the week before Christmas. Isn't is gorgeous? It has come in quite handy over the last few days, which have been bitterly cold here in Staffordshire, with snow falling last Sunday and not thawing very quickly either.

Next is the lovely tape measure cover that Helen stitched for my Christmas present. She told me that she had not made these before, I think she has done a beautiful job. It has been stitched over one and the tag (third photo) has my name on it.

Thank you both so much for such lovely presents, I shall treasure them.

Now for my last finish of 2008. It's another ornament from Prairie Schooler's Santa's and Snowmen. I stitched this for the weekly challenges over at Let's Stitch leading up to Christmas. I didn't get too much stitching time, and so it took me longer to finish than the previous one. I finally finished the stitching on New Year's Eve, however, I do still have yet to make it into the finished ornament.

I'm now all Christmas'd out and have picked up my Prairie Schooler Daffodil Sampler, which I'm really enjoying. I'll show you a photo of my progress next time as I don't want to overload Blogger with too many photos.

I have signed up to Kathy's PIF and, as per the rules, I'm now offering one myself. If you would like to receive something stitched by me within the next 365 days please leave a comment on THIS POST ONLY. I shall ask Keith to draw three names on SUNDAY 18th JAN. The lucky winners should then make this same offer on their own blogs. In the event that there no takers or less than three I shall randomly pick names from my blog list to receive an RAK. This is open to everyone, so good luck.

Nicola

**EDITED TO ADD** that if you DO wish to join my PIF please make sure that your comment specifies this, otherwise I shall assume that you DO NOT want to join.

Thank you

Nicola

Hello, I have only just discovered your blog and must say how I love seeing all the PS projects you have done. I now have it on my list of blogs to visit often, especially has you are in a very pretty part of the UK. Loved seeing the canal boats and was intrigued by the fact that they sell lovely goodies.

Happy stitching
