Some Stitching, Unpicking and Stash

Since my last post I've only stitched on Prairie Schooler's May and only a little at that. However, it has grown a bit since I last showed you a photo.

I'd like to thank you all for your sympathetic comments on my unfortunate mistake on "When This You See". I couldn't bring myself to look at it until today when I decided that I just had to do that frogging. It took me nearly two hours but eventually I got there and here is a photo of it all ready to start again - hopefully this time without any further mishaps!

Now for my new stash!! Not that I needed any really, but I felt like treating myself some time ago due to my poorly foot! I know any excuse! Anyway I ordered Blackbird Designs Honeysuckle Manor and Summer Iris From Thread Bear back in the middle of June. Unfortunately I had to be very patient as they had to be ordered from the States and didn't arrive until this week, and I received them yesterday. I'm looking forward to stitching the samplers from Honeysuckle Manor, but one of them is done with Belle Soie silk and I would really rather use Crescent Colours hand dyed stranded cotton. Does anyone know of a conversion for this? I've tried the Internet but without success.

Well that's it for this post. Thank you so much for your continued visits and comments.

Nicola, both of those threads are by Crescent Colors, and I've seen Sharon Crescent answer people's questions about her threads on 123Stitch.com (the message board part). She usually answers promptly, and I'm sure she wouldn't mind giving you conversions since both are her threads.

Both of your pieces look great and I like what you want to start next. You've picked some great projects.

Hope you can find an answer for your thread conversion, Nicola. I love your PS piece so much--that little black sheep is precious! Hope your new start on "When This You See" cooperates this time :)

The PS piece is adorable, those little sheepies are so cute

You'll soon get back to where you were on the AoTH, the worst bits all done now you've frogged it out

Beautiful stitching. Pity that you had to frog and crossing fingers that the border won't give you more grief.
Wishing you good luck with the conversion.

PS is looking great. I know you have hated that frogging but you will be happier for it.
Good luck getting your conversions.

I was going to suggest contacting Crescent Colours directly, but Julie beat me to it :) Congrats on doing your frogging so quickly - I don't know if I could have faced it so quickly ;)

Your PS piece is looking lovely, really like all the little sheepies!

Frogging is just so frustrating!!!

Both your pieces are marvellous. I hope that you could continue on the BBD piece without any further frogging. And that wonderful PSD piece, is it near the finishing line in the meantime?
