Long Time, No Post

Although it has been quite a while since my last post I really don't have much to show you. I worked on LHN's Season of Hope for a week, but didn't finish it, so I'm showing you the WIP photo. I then moved on to some exchange stitching, which I can't show yet. Unusually for me I've signed up for several exchanges. The first one I stitched was for the Fair and Square Exchange, I've finished the main design piece, but now have to do the back with my name etc. on. I'm waiting on a couple of alphabet books to arrive from Sew and So, hopefully tomorrow, then I can finish that off and get it sent. I've also started stitching my needle roll for the HoE exchange, and will be continuing with that this week. After that it will be a Prairie Schooler piece, again for the HoE exchange group, before moving on to another Fair and Square round and another personal exchange with Clare. Phew! In amongst all that I'm trying to stitch another needle roll for myself, this time Victoria Sampler's December birthday needle roll. I bought this some time ago and eventually started working on it last summer. However, all the white stitches are supposed to be worked with three strands, but I wasn't getting very neat stitches so decided to frog the few that I'd done and re-start using two strands. I finally got around to doing that at the end of last week, and I'm much happier with the look of it now. Following the success of my Violet needle roll I bought four more Sweetheart Tree needle rolls on a recent visit to Wye Needlecraft in Bakewell. I believe these charts are now discontinued so was pleaed to be able to still get some, even better was the fact that they were "Buy one get one free". The ones I bought were the Forget-me-not roll, the Blueberry roll, The Wildflowers roll and the Strawberry Patch roll. Together with the three others that I have still to stitch, (the Rememberance roll, the Tulip roll and the Sweetheart roll) these will keep me going for quite some time.

Thank you so much for the all the wonderful comments on my Violet needle roll, they were really very much appreciated. Once again I am way behind with blogging, nothing too unusual there! I blame Keith who surprised me with a week off work last week and so I wasn't on the computer quite as much as I am when I'm on my own. Well that's my story and I'm sticking to it!(LOL)
