Now for the ducks in the title. On Saturday afternoon we went over to Fradley Junction, where the Coventry canal joins the Trent and Mersey canal, for tea and cake. We also took some left over bread with us to feed the ducks. They are normally in the water but this time most of them were up on the bank and those that weren't soon joined the others with the rattle of the bread bag. Mr. L. was soon surrounded by them all and the goose was even standing on his foot! They were taking bites out of the bread from his hand until it got down to about half a slice when one would run off with the rest of it closely followed by the other ducks trying to pinch it. It was quite hilarious to watch.
Many thanks for visiting my blog and for all the lovely comments that you leave.

Hello Nicola,
Congratulations on your finish of Lavender Hill.
Your little trip sounds like it was a lot of fun. Especially the tea and cake part:) The pictures of Mr. L with the ducks are great.
I hope you have a good week.
I'm totally stumped on your new project. :D
Feeding the ducks is always good for a laugh - rather like watching young children at play.
Hope you don't leave us in suspense for too long!
Lavender Hill is just gorgeous!
Looking forward to seeing the next one!
Wonderful progree on Lavender Hill. I'm stumped as to what your new start is. Oh I hope Mr L. didn't get pecked too much!
Gorgeous finish Nicola. Might take a few more stitches in the new project before I'd hazard a guess. LOL Sounds like a lovely trip out. :0)
Lavendar Hill is looking lovely Nicola.
Looks like you had fun feeding the ducks. Geese sure can be pushy!
Seeing the canal in the background of the pics makes me think of Coronation Street, when they go to the canals! ;) Fantastic finish!
Lovely finish Nicola. No clue what your new start is though! Can you give us a clue? Lol!
Love the piccies! Reminds me of when we used to go feed the ducks down at the mere!
Very nice project you are stitching on. The new start? No idea, yet, lol.
