My New Start and an Exchange

Some of you asked me for a clue to my new start. Well here is a bit more of it, another two days worth in fact, and I will tell you that it is a Little House Needleworks design. Any ideas now?

Remember the sneaky peak? Well here it is, the biscornu that I stitched for Cindy in the HoE's Stitch Red for Your Heart exchange. I stitched Alchemy Stitchcraft's "Tumbling Leaves" design on 32ct antique white Jobelan, such a useful fabric, with Threadworx "Bleeding Hearts" thread.

Here it is again with the red themed extras that I sent.

I received this lovely pin keep from Suzanne in the same exchange.

Suzanne very kindly included these lovely extras, aren't those Vancouver 2010 Olympic mittens just great? She also made me the little pouch that you can see next to the pin keep and it's filled with red threads and some decorated pins. There is also a lovely piece of red fabric but I'm afraid it's come out a bit dark on the photo.

I did a little stash shopping yesterday for some fabric for a sampler that I want to stitch. You know when you get an itch and you just have to scratch it? Well, that's happened to me with a sampler that Edgar stitched last year, Hetty Child. I loved it from the moment I saw it with it's gorgeous colours but, did I really need another design to stitch? After all I have a draw full of kits and even more charts and, if I get to stitch them all will need a bigger house to display them all in. Well I resisted, that is until a couple of weeks ago when I caved in and asked Edgar if I could borrow his chart. He said that he didn't need it more and I could have it and even, very kindly, sent along the DMC threads for it. Thank you so much Edgar! So now, when my fabric arrives, and despite all the UFO's and WIP's that I have, would it be so very naughty for me to have another new start?

Many thanks for visiting my blog and for all the lovely comments that you leave.

Nicola

Both red exchanges are adorable. I love everything in red, it's just my colour.
Nice new start. LHNs are always fun to stitch, but I don't know which one this is.

Is your new start Gourmet Garden?

Lovely stitching well done. Doesn't red on its own look lovely in a stitched item. Michelle x

Beautiful stitching, Nicola! Lucky you with the exchanges! I still can't figure out what LHN that is, but it's pretty!
