The beaded edge is not perfect, and if anyone out there has any constructive critism to offer, it would be grately appreciated.
I last stitched on LHN's Gourmet Garden about three weeks ago, so this is how it looks now. I put it aside to work on "Hetty Child" but haven't done much, so no photo of that just yet.
Yesterday I made Mother's Day cards. The top one is for my mother, but the little silver tag which has "with love" debossed on it does not show up very well on the photo. The bottom card is for my mother-in-law.
Hasn't the weather here in the U.K. turned gorgeous, if not a bit cold? I'm hoping it will stay that way because in two weeks time Mr. L. and I are off up to Swaledale again for the week. Both the cottages where we stay have been renovated so we're looking forward to seeing the results of that, although I think we may be in the one next door to our usual one as last I heard the owner wasn't sure if it would be ready for our visit.
Many thanks for visiting my blog and for all the lovely comments that you leave.

Your work is lovely - I adore the Biscornu - well done. It is nice to see the sunshine again - spring must be on its way. Its nice to be able to put washing out on the line! Enjoy your break. I hear that this nice weather is here for a while. Michelle x
Hello Nicola : what a beautiful biscornu with springly colors . About your beaded edge, maybe you will be more happy with it if you would put just a bead where you put two ones?? It is just an idea :-)
Your mothers cards are pretty sweet : I am sure your mother and your mother-in-law will be grateful with them :-) Oh!! I wish you a very nice trip with MR L ,
Take care,
Isa
Nicola,
Congratulations on a beautiful biscornu. I love everything about it. I also think the edge looks very nice.
I'm happy to hear that your weather is turning warmer. Enjoy your week.
Great finish.
Oh what a seriously pretty biscornu - love it! GG is growing nicely & the cards are lovely. Enjoy your holiday. :0)
Gorgeous biscornu Nicola.
Have a wonderful holiday in Swaledale, it certainly looks like a gorgeous place from photos I have seen on your blog in the past.
Nicola, what a great job on the biscornu! Lovely stitching. Enjoy your break.
Beautiful cards! And the biscornu is just stunning. Glad to hear you are having nice weather. Ours has finally turned for the better too.
lovely biscornu, the beads set it off nicely. Love your cards too I made my Mother's Day cards at the weekend too!
Both cards are beautiful and great job on the biscornu, it looks lovely!
Your cards are lovely and I'm sure your Mum and MIL will appreciate them.
The biscornu is lovely, spring colours too. Perhaps if you alternated with the beads, sew a bead, miss a bead, sew a bead, miss a bead! You wouldn't get too much of a straight line. Or petite beads so that there is not so much overcrowding.
Enjoy your holiday.
Your biscornu is beautiful Nicola.
The weather has been so much nicer hasn't it. Still chilly but at least we are seeing some sunshine. Enjoy your break!
That is one beautiful biscornu. Nice work with the beads. Those are beautiful cards that you made. I love hand made cards.
Enjoy that nice holiday with your DH. It sounds wonderful
What a great biscornu you made. And I also love your WIP. You are doing some very nice stitching.
Nicola,
All your pictures are lovely. The biscornu is beautiful and the cards turned out great. You always do such nice work.
Hi there I am slowly ploughing my way back into blogland and trying to catch up with everyone. Life is still hectic but with Water Tiger out of the way I do have a little time to get at the PC again. I have been flicking through and looking at all your pretty stitching Nicola, and I hope to visit a little more frequently now Im back.
Hope you and Keith have a lovely holiday.
What a lovely biscornu you've made! Love your Mother's cards too.
I think that was my biscornu that I received from Nita! The colours really made be smile. Well done on the beaded edging, I've never done it so don't have any advice. Have a lovely holiday!
Oh it's lovely! I have yet to make one of these! I think I am intimidated by it! Congratulations!
The biscornu is pretty. Love the colors you used on it. Pretty mother's day cards.
Lovely stitching - and thanks for the compliment
As Isadarena said above - you might be happier with fewer beads on the edge - maybe every second or third stitch?
Hi Nicola
I don't think the people that leave these comments even read the post. They seem to pick at random as I've had these kind of comments on posts that are over a year old. I set my blog to moderate on all posts over a month old as I was sick of trying to track down the post which the comment had been left on. It's so annoying isn't it.
How very beautiful! Such patience! I will stick with a paint brush or a sewing machine as I would get tangled up in the thread working by hand, but I admire anyone that can do this type of work.
