Progress

Recently I have made quite a lot of progress on PS's May, here's where it stands at the moment. I have had to buy a new skein of DMC 842 and have found that the new one is a touch darker than the old. Fortunately it's used for the sheep and I have managed not to have to mix the two skeins in the same sheep, so hopefully it won't notice too much.

I thought I'd share with you all a wonderful little gadget that I bought from Lakeland. It's called a Rock Recipe Holder and when I saw it just knew it would be great for holding my charts. I used to perch them, propped up with a remote control so that I could read them, on the big, squishy arm on my leather chair  My stitching chart holder and magnet board had too large a footprint and had a habit of falling off as the arm slopes slightly. This little holder only has a small footprint - two and a half inches, and does the job admirably holding the charts on with the magnet ball you can see on the front of it. It's the best £7.99 I've spent!

I'll finish this post off with a photo of some of our sweet peas that we're growing. Sadly they don't last long in water, but do need picking off to encourage the plants to flower more.

Many thanks for your continued visits to my blog and especially for the very much appreciated comments that you leave.

Nicola

PS May looks lovely. I don't think it will show that you're using 2 different shades of the same color. Or even if it will show it will look as if it should be that way.
What a nifty new chart holder. Really great idea.

A great gadget, thanks for sharing where it came from

Our sweet peas are blooming too, the scent inside the house is lovely even if only for a couple of days

Your PS looks great! What a neat idea for the chart holder. I am near sighted so have to have the chart up close to me or I can't see it too well! I end up with it jammed between my arm and the arm of the love seat, since my big Daylight lamp with chart clamp broke.
