Errant Blogger Returns

I must apologise for the lack of posts and commenting lately, I lost my blogging mojo, but thankfully not my stitching mojo. Since returning from my holiday in The Yorkshire Dales I've had plenty of time to stitch as I'm having to rest my foot due to the painful condition of Plantar Faciitis. First I finished off the birthday gift that I was stitching for Julianne. As Julianne is from the U.S.A. I wanted to stitch her something typically English, so i chose this timber-framed cottage from Heritage Crafts book British Cottages in their Cross Stitcher's Guide To Britain series. The design is a seventeenth century cottage which can typically be found in Wales and counties in central England. It's stitched on 32ct white Jobelan using DMC threads.

Having finished the pin keep I moved on to the PS SAL piece that I was doing with Siobhan. I finally finished this a couple of days ago. It's stitched on 36ct antique white Edinburgh linen using DMC threads. I shall be framing this as a picture. I have the other three seasons and intend to stitch the foursomes from them at some point.

I am continuing to stitch on PS's "May" which I'm stitching in the PS SAL on the Needlecraft Haven board. I have also decided to get organised this year and am planning to start stitching some Christmas cards soon for my family.

Many thanks for visiting and for all the lovely comments which are greatly appreciated.

Nicola

Sounds like you had a lovely holiday, Nicola. I'm so sorry to hear about the Plantar Faciitis--one of my co-workers is dealing with it too. Such a painful condition.

Your gift for Julianne is so special--I know she'll think of you whenever she sees it. Great job on the PS piece, too!

Enjoy your weekend :)

I think that's a beautiful and thoughtful gift for Julianne. And a pretty finishing, too.
The PS spring piece looks gorgeous. I once received this in an exchange, finished as a little pillow. I love it. But I'm sure yours will look wonderful in a frame, too.
