Not A Happy Bunny!

I had hoped to show my progress on Blackbird Designs "When This You see", but instead I'm showing you just how much I'm going to have to unpick due to a counting error. I made a mistake in the border and so everything below where I have placed my needle has to come out along with the bird and small bit of green stitching to the left of the border. Thank goodness I decided not to stitch the whole border first! It may not look like too much to some of you but I'm not a fast stitcher and this probably took me around three or so hours to do. I'm not looking forward to frogging as I'm stitching this on 36ct Edinburgh so the stitches are reasonably small. I was so gutted at this mistake last night that for the time being I've just put it away and will work on something else.

On a happier note I decided to throw caution to the wind and join this years Loose Feathers club from Blackbird Designs. I ordered the first chart and threads to stitch the main design from The Patchwork Rabbit on Monday and by Wednesday morning had them in my hot sticky little mitts! I'm going to stitch these all on the one piece of fabric instead of individually as I had first thought. I'm not going with the suggested fabric but will use cream 36ct Edinburgh. I'm hoping upon hope that this one will go without any mistakes!!! I might think that I'm jinxed by BBD's otherwise!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to everyone for visiting and leaving comments. Welcome to any new followers, please leave a comment, it would be lovely to hear from you.

Sorry to hear you have had a visit from the frogs. I soooo know how you feel about not being a fast stitcher. Look forward to seeing your new start.

I feel your pain Nicola. It's awful if you have to frog. And the stitched part looks so lovely.
I join you in your happier note. Got the new BBD chart as well.

Oh gosh! I hate when that happens!
There's a lot of pain no matter what, but I have found that it is a bit better to do the unstitching, then put it away for a time, and come back to it.

Oh, I can just imagine how you felt, Nicola! It's amazing how quickly you can frog, but how long it takes to re-stitch, too... Good luck!

I am so sorry to hear that the dreaded frog came for a visit and stayed far too long. I am sure that you will be fine once you get back to where you have to unpick. Hang in there - it is a beautiful design

what a shame, I am a slow stitcher too, so know how you feel, upicking on 36ct is no fun either!
I have just ordered the new Loose Feathers - so looking forward to getting mine!

Wow that really sucks, having to do all that frogging!

I sympathize with your having to pull out all those stitches! Setting it aside for awhile will help you get over the trauma. :D Just be sure to get started again as it's too lovely not to finish!

Sorry to hear about the dratted frogging - it's no wonder you put it to one side for a while, I think I would have done the same! It does look great, though, and will look gorgeous when it's finished :)

I really like their new loose feathers design also. I've been thinking about purchasing...

Sorry about your frogging issues. Take heart, we've all been there at times.

Oh what a shame - I feel for you. It happened to me once - I didn't go wrong with my stitching I stitched it to my skirt! x

Your new chart looks lovely

Sorry to hear about your visit from the frog Nicola. I'd be so damned mad too! It looks so pretty though.

I can't wait to get the LF chart. I don't know what I'm stitching it on yet.

What a shame that you're going to have to rip, as it's looking very pretty :\

I got my LF from Karla too and was amazed to get the supplies so fast! I'm looking forward to stitching this one once I can make up my mind about fabric.

Ugh, sorry to hear that you have to rip out some of your stitching. It always stinks when you get so far along and realize that it all has to come out. :P It looks great, though! Love the new BBD series, too.
